Amesha

Soil, rock, wood, and crystal, these are the wombs from which the first amesha came forth. Their bodies adapt to best fit the landscape they are in through an innate and unconscious ability of shifting density. Thus, ameshas living in jungles have longer limbs and fingers so they are fitted to life amongst trees, and those living on mountains have flexible muscular feet that allows them to balance on hard rock. These enhancements will change to fit the new landscape when ameshas move to new territory. Though it can take months for their bodies to shift completely from one form to another, frequent travellers are known to adapt faster.
Their oneness with the earth is further seen in how their general health reflects the health of the landscape. Ameshas who pass over dead earth will feel drained and their soil colored skin will turn grey. Their sensitivity with the earth allows for greater ability in earth source magic. Amesha shamans are the finest healers, not just of fellow ameshas, but of all creatures, because of the healing magic they can draw out of Adijari's bounty of plant life.
Some amesha magicians have specialized their ability around crystals. Depending on the crystal and their mastery, the are able to use them as a conduit for almost anything, from influencing moods, to psychic communication, to summoning spirits.

Amesha Civilization
Amesha nations are ruled by a shah and a spirit. Though a fair partnership is expected, the balance of power varies from nation to nation. Because these spirits can represent the immortal life of the land upon which they reside, some ameshas consider it heresy to worship spirits of other places.
There are a few nomadic amesha tribes, who handle much of the trade between nations. One of the most infamous is Harsham, an ancient tribe known for having the finest physicians.
